Looking for the perfect home for this girl.
Millie is a puppy I bred whose family gave her back to me when they had a baby. Turns out they didn’t do any training with her and she came back to me last November a bit of a trainwreck. She was never taught teeth aren’t for biting. I’ve worked with her extensively in the last year. She’s been to Obedience classes, Cooperative care classes and even Trick class! She is sooo incredibly smart and has earned her Novice trick dog title! And she does quite well walking on a leash now but does have mild dog reactivity and can be dog selective at home. Though she’s never had an altercation so may just be mostly talk (she gets along with all my dogs except one, they fence/cage fight.
Her biggest issue to date is resource guarding. She resource guards her food (I just feed her in the crate) and anything she grabs to play keep away with you, especially paper products. So it’s really important she is given something to trade rather than trying to just take something from her. She loves giving hugs and really is a sweet girl. I feel like someone with the right experience with resource guarding and herding breeds would absolutely love this girl! She is crate trained and very content in her crate but will pee in it occasionally so i keep a blanket in there and just wash it when she does pee. She’s an amazing hiking partner and absolutely loves playing in water and swimming!
She is spayed and up to date on her vaccines.
