Sarah’s Guns n Roses Have a Little Patience CGC
DOB 05/29/2019
RIP 5-29-19 to 7-21-24
This morning, I saw these gorgeous dogsun rays and this single delicate rose from a plant Kyle gave me for Mother’s day. Which hasn’t bloomed all summer. Our special boy is letting us know it might not be easy but his energy lives on through all of the lives he touched and the little things around us that remind us of how loving and truly incredible he was. Gunner was the most patient lover of a dog you’d ever meet. He always made everyone feel like they were the only one in the room that mattered. He had the cheesiest grin when he was super happy and best butt wiggle around. He loved so hard he’d suffocate you pressing in and laying across your neck while you were asleep He accompanied Kyle to many hospital stays, never wavering from his job as a service dog. He could never get enough pets and cuddles. Some dogs live for food, Gunner lived to bring joy to others. He was the definition of man’s Best Friend with his heart of gold. We never get enough time with these special companions, and when one of their lives is cut short unexpectedly, it’s so hard to wrap your head around it. I’m thankful he spent his last year with a family (John and Kelly) who gave him lovings 24/7 and made him feel special. Rest in love, our sweet angel.
(Gunner was doing great till about 3 weeks ago. His family noticed he wasn’t settling, pacing, eyes seemed off. They took him to vet after vet appt. Ran all the tests. Did everything possible for him. He went downhill fast. The vets don’t have a definitive answer. Meningitis and lymphoma were the top two suspects. He looked to be stabilized and even improving then took a sharp turn over night. If you have a Gunner baby or grandpup feel free to message me with questions. We’re all beyond devasted at this loss and just doing our best to make sense of something that makes no sense and is not fair at all!)
Retired July 2023 and living his best life with his daughter’s Noora and Lottie
